Priorities for your personal, family, or group website

Do you have a hobby? Do you want to share things with the world? A personal website for you, your family, or a small group of friends with shared interests is a great way to acheive this. I'd like to go through some of the things that you might want in such a website. Simple Design Everyone has been on websites that are confusing. Clumsy layouts, hidden links, overuse of advertising. The best way to keep an audience is to keep it simple. Make it clear where links to pages are and where the content is - and don't over do it with ads (if you do, people are less likely to come back).
